FAQ

Will I lose control in Hypnosis?

You actually remain in full control during a session. You are fully capable of talking if you wish to and can stand up and leave the room at any time. A person in hypnosis cannot be made to do anything against their usual ethical, moral or religious beliefs.

Can anyone be hypnotised?

Undoubtedly "virtually anyone", with the exception of those suffering from psychosis, heavily under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication. It has been observed that some people are more readily hypnotisable than others and that will also depend upon one’s willingness to be hypnotised at the time of the session.

How many sessions will I need?

Every client is unique and individual and so are their needs so I never pre-empt how many sessions may be required. This will depend entirely on feedback, progress made and outcomes achieved.

Can you make my pain go completely?

My role will be to assist you with appropriate methods to manage your pain and to guide you in your path of health and recovery. Hypnotherapy can be a wonderful self-help tool and empowers you to take charge of your health.

Should I see my GP before seeing you?

If you suspect there is a physical cause for a problem you want assistance with then your Doctor should be consulted in the first instance. I will always take a thorough consultation and will ask you about your current level of medication and its use.

Can you make me quit smoking even though I don’t really want to?

The simple answer to that is no as I cannot make you do anything against your will. If you are being sent by a partner or Doctor then it is not your choice and that your desire to smoke again would rapidly return. You alone have to take full responsibility for your health.
